As a lifelong Knicks fan, last week was one I'll never forget!
My grandfather got Knicks season tickets in 1968, and I've been going to games with my dad for as long as I can remember. Madison Square Garden was a place filled with many memories.
Last year, one of the goals at the very top of my list was simple: work with the Knicks. I set my mind to it, manifested it, and knew I was going to make it happen one way or another.
What I didn't realize at the time was that one opportunity would lead to so many more.
Over the past year, I've had the chance to design the Knicks x Lexus playoff car that lived inside Madison Square Garden, create artwork for the Knicks Kicks and Cocktail events, and make custom denim jackets for Knicks kids. Just last week, the same week the Knicks won the finals, I got to be a part of a customization event where I personalized pouches for players' family members, design a custom denim jacket for Jalen Brunson's daughter, and even be interviewed on NY1 about my Knicks partnerships. Also, my Knicks-inspired artwork was selected to appear on LinkNYC screens across New York City!
And somehow, all of that happened during the same week the Knicks won the NBA Finals.
As artists and entrepreneurs, we spend so much time setting goals and chasing opportunities that it's easy to move on to the next thing without stopping to appreciate the moment. Last week reminded me to do exactly that.
A year ago, working with the Knicks felt like a dream client. Today, I've had the privilege of creating artwork for the team I've loved my entire life.
Hard work pays off. Keep putting your work out there. You never know where one opportunity can lead.
And most importantly...Let's go Knicks. New York Knicks Forever!
