It's been a while since I've posted a blog post.
Life has been moving at full speed lately, and I've been so busy that I haven't had a chance to write about it.
The last few months have been filled with amazing milestones.
In April, I got married. It was the best day ever (best weekend ever!) and I wish I could go back in time and relive it. In May, I went on an incredible honeymoon with my now ~husband~ to Thailand. After we came home, and immediately got hit with the flu, which had me completely out for the count.
Just as I started feeling like myself again, I jumped right back into work and spent the next week painting four murals, including two in Chicago. The week after that brought even more mural projects, but all lots of fun.
At the same time, so many exciting things were happening behind the scenes.
The Mahjong collection I designed with Bespoke Mahjong came back in stock after selling out its first run. I launched a new Game Day collection with Kippot World. And with all of the Knicks excitement in NYC, I had the opportunity to host a customization event at the Sisley Paris salon in New York City with the Knicks WAGs.
My artwork was featured on LinkNYC screens throughout the city, and yesterday I was interviewed by Shannon Ferry from NY1 to talk about my partnerships with the New York Knicks.
As I was reflecting on all of this, I realized…Tomorrow marks 11 years since I started my Instagram account.
Eleven years ago, I was a college student who randomly decided to create an art page and start sharing my work online. There was no plan or expectations that it would become anything more than a creative outlet.
I certainly never imagined that one day it would lead to murals across the country, collaborations with brands and teams I grew up admiring, features throughout New York City, or tv interviews discussing my work.
It's easy to get caught up in what's next and forget to pause and appreciate how far you've come. Today, I'm feeling incredibly grateful for everyone who has helped make this journey possible.
Here's to 11 years of taking chances, saying yes to opportunities, creating art that makes people smile, and seeing where the journey leads next.
I'm excited for what's ahead.
