Sports Happy Faces

Sports Happy Faces

Two weeks before my wedding, I finally launched the collection I have always wanted to create.

I went live at 11AM with my Sports Happy Face Collection and in under two minutes we sold 6 out of 10 pieces. I cannot believe it!

Creating this collection felt especially meaningful. During the pandemic, I spent almost every night at home in my parents’ basement painting. That is when I first came up with the idea of taking my canvas work out of its traditional shape and turning it into something more unexpected. Circles. That idea became my first Happy Face collection, a series of hand painted one of a kind pieces that sold out almost immediately.

Ever since then, I have wanted to create a sports inspired version of that series. But like most ideas, the timing never quite aligned until now.

With my wedding coming up, I set a goal for myself to finally make it happen before I got married. I am really glad I did.

Over the past few weeks, I shared behind the scenes of the process and brought my audience into my studio. I asked my followers to comment their favorite teams, and I selected 10 of those suggestions to turn into this collection.

I grew up around sports, I love creating sports art, and I wanted to make something for the fans. Something that captures that energy in a way that feels bold, playful, and different from traditional sports decor.

At the same time, I am continuing to push into spaces where I do not always see a lot of representation, especially as a female artist working at the intersection of art and sports.

Fast forward to today, happy faces have become a signature part of my brand. Seeing the response across Instagram and TikTok, and watching this drop sell the way it did, is a reminder that the ideas you hold onto are worth bringing to life. I’m so excited to have new collectors, and hope this collection brings attention to sports fans around the country. And also, I really hope that those organizations that I painted come across my art and I can collaborate with the teams themselves. That would be the dream.

I am incredibly grateful to everyone who supported this launch and trusted me enough to collect my work.

I hope to explore more releases like this soon, including prints and acrylic versions. But for now, I am getting married next week and I think it’s time to take a pause. Truly feeling so grateful.
