About Make Our Schools Safe:
The organization was created by Lori Alhadeff after losing her daughter, Alyssa, at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February of 2018. Make Our Schools Safe is a 501(c)(3) national non-profit organization dedicated to protecting students and teachers at school. Their mission is to improve the safety of schools, research and test best practices, as well as implement those protocols by creating model schools.
